APA notes

American Psychological Association
- It’s often used for several areas related to psychology,sociology or social work and some of the general sciences.
- For papers with APA format include in-texts citations and a list of references/bibliography.
- For presentations or projects with APA format the citations are included within the presentation itself, but it should also include a reference page.

Basic In-Text Citation Format
- Direct Quote: Includes the author, the date of the work, the citation and finally the page number.
- Paraphrasing or Summarizing: Includes the author and date of work with a slightly different configuration depending on your sentence. It’s not necessary to write the page number unless you’re going to use several/multiple ideas in your paper from that source.

List of References Citation Format
- Book: Name of the author/editor, date, title of the book and the location of the publisher/publishing company.
- Journal Article: Names of the authors, date, title of the article, name of the journal, the volume and issue, page numbers and a DOI number.
- Website: Author/Institution behind the website, date the information was posted/updated, title of the page/document and the URL.
