INTRO.
- Pablo 1: We are concerned about the student concentration and motivation in schools today.
- Alejandra 2: We have been studying the causes and the solutions to student motivation.
- Pablo 3: In this video we are going to explain the causes and then the solutions in a organized way for you to understand.
Causes
- A 4: Here are a few causes for lack of student motivation.
- P 5: One:Long classes
- A 6: Long classes in schools today cause students to get bored and get distracted.
- A 7: Second: Boring subject:
- P 8: This would affect students a lot because they don’t concentrate well and start talking to other students; this will distract the environment of the class.
- P 9: Third: Working individually:
- A 10: This makes student concentration decrease because then students get bored because they are not being active.
Solutions
- A 11: Here are some solutions for lack of student concentration or motivation.
- A 12: One: Take a break in the middle of the class.
- P 13: We were discussing with other students this solution and they said that it was a great solution. We say that we should have a 5 minute break in the middle of a long class for students to talk, release energy, maybe eat something, then, after the break students can continue class normally.
- P 14: Another solution to improve student concentration is to make students work in groups.
- A 15: When students work in groups they work better and have better concentration because they are talking, being active, and they unite ideas to structure better work.
- A 16: And the third idea we came up with is to have a more active environment in class.
- P 17: This means that the teacher should make students move around, and make some good jokes for the class to laugh and have a good time. This will impede students to get bored and so they will have better concentration and motivation.
Conclusion
- P 18: In conclusion; student motivation can be improved by doing these simple steps.
- A 19: Student motivation is very important for the concentration and the learning for students
- A&P 20: THANK YOU!
