How I have changed as a learner

During this year I have not been so good, but at the beginning of the year I was definitely much better that now. I do not know what happened but I have been decreasing my grades during the whole year.

school ideas-needs, motivation to change, 3 details

Our idea is to make students be more concentrated and motivated.

  1. give a break in the middle of the class: This is definitely something we discussed and came to the conclusion that it would be very effective a break in class. This break could be like five minutes and the students could stand up, talk a bit, and sometimes even drink or eat something. This is good because in a very long class that you can not talk you get very bored and loose concentration. With this break students can relax for a little while and also the teacher.
  2. let students work in groups: Letting students work in groups is a commonly used strategy by teachers because of it's effectiveness. It is very effective because instead of 1 brain there are 3 or 4 brains thinking and combining ideas together. This will also teach students to work together in a team.
  3. Convincing teachers to make class more active: This is that we will give them a conference telling them that what are the benefits of having our ideas involved in their classes and why should they have them. The teachers could make good jokes and make students move around class so they don't get bored.
  • Parents will want this because then their children will learn more.
  • Students will want this because then they will like to learn and will learn more.
  • Teachers will like this because students will like class more and there will be better behavior and so they can teach better.
  • Principals will like this because then the students have a better average and the school will be a better school

peer questions about school idea-answered

What would be an active class?
A active class would be a class that moves around, example: that sometimes the class goes our to do a outside activity, or that students move around in class to do different activities.
In which country would we start with?
We would definitely start with Colegio Nueva Granada trying to convince teachers ans students to have our plan to make better classes. Then after we conquer CNG, Bogotá, and other schools in Colombia, we would go to the USA and after that the rest of the world starting with Europe.
Will this take away the learning of the students?
Definitely not, because if students are more motivated and having more concentration in class then they will learn more and behave better.
How will we convince people to follow us?
We will convince them by giving them a demonstration. We will have 2 different teachers with the same students first a boring teacher that makes them copy stuff will teach them something. Then the second teacher will be funny and active and will teach them the same thing then after that we will ask the students what they liked more and also in which they learned more.
